A new record for Lamborghini, which closes the first quarter of 2022 with 2,539 cars delivered worldwide, 5% more than in the same period of 2021 and 31% more than 2020, numbers that make the first quarter of 2022 the best in the history of the brand.
The distribution of sales remains well balanced across the three macro-regions of EMEA (40%), America (32%) and Asia Pacific (28%). With the exception of Russia, where the company suspended business, almost all the markets recorded strong growth figures, showing a particular preference for the Huracán and Aventador super sports car models and the Urus Super SUV.
Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, commented on this extraordinary result: “We are entering a year of new global challenges on a solid footing. Despite the uncertainties due to a geopolitical situation that not only saddens us deeply but also makes any forecasting difficult, we are now counting on extraordinary global attractiveness. Every month we collect more orders than we can produce, currently covering well over 12 months of production.”
These outstanding achievements pave the way for Lamborghini’s new phase towards electrification, which will be enshrined with the arrival of the new V12 hybrid model in 2023.
