Lamborghini has set a new production record by reaching the extraordinary threshold of 15,000 Super SUV Urus produced since its launch in 2019.
The result came in just a few days after the sales record set in the first half of 2021 with 4,852 cars delivered worldwide, 2,796 of which were precisely the Urus. This figure confirms that it is the top selling model, and this is due to its outstanding performance and absolute versatility, which perfectly blend together the soul of a super sports car and the features of a SUV.
The unit with chassis number 15,000, under delivery to the British market, is configured with the very latest range of colors and “Graphite Capsule” finishes. The exterior features the new shade Grigio Keres Matt (gray) with Verde Scandal (green) details, while the interior boasts the new Nero Ade/Verde Scandal collection.
Lamborghini Urus is powered by a 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine that delivers 650 CV at 6000 rpm, and it claims the best weight to power ration with 3.38 kg/CV. Its acceleration of 0-100 km in 3.6 seconds and 0-200 km/h in 12.8 seconds, along with its top speed of 305 km/h, make it one of the fastest Super SUVs on the market today.
In March 2021 it also set the speed record on the ice of Lake Baikal in Russia during the Days of Speed with a top speed of 298 km/h and an average speed from a standing start of 114 km/h over 1000 meters, proving that it is absolutely the fastest car on ice.
And we are only at the beginning…
