Automobili Lamborghini attended Milano Design Week with an exhibition space created in partnership with the CRA – Carlo Ratti Associati design and innovation studio. Alongside the European unveiling of the Countach LPI 800-4, we met the man himself to talk about how technologies have been changing our lives, how architecture can be seen as our “third skin”, and how the automotive world and the urban landscape are closely interconnected.
CRA-Carlo Ratti Associati has designed the exhibition venue in the heart of an art gallery in Superstudio Più, Via Tortona 27, to underscore the craftsmanship and technology of Lamborghini. Upon arrival, visitors will be seated facing the “magical display case” that houses the newly launched Countach LPI-800-4. Fully dimmed at the beginning, the case slowly reveals the car's silhouette, which appears like a sculpture. Through a show with video projections, light effects and soundscapes, the cars will be fully unveiled for viewing. The case will then be featured in several separate screens to display the legacy of the Countach cars, opening up the space and directing the visitors’ attention towards two other signature models – the classic Countach LP 400 and Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae.
