With its characteristics that were exceptional, to say the least, the Lamborghini Aventador immediately distinguished itself when it debuted in 2011. Starting from its iconic V12 engine designed in 1963, to then be perfected over the years, to its carbon fiber monocoque, unprecedented in the other models built in Sant’Agata Bolognese up until the first Aventador LP 700-4, this family of super cars became a legend, and still is after a decade.
And even so, maybe there is something you still don’t know about the model equipped with 12-cylinder engine that rightfully entered the Olympus of super cars.
Do you want to find out?
The Lamborghini Aventador beat all the sales records of its V12 ancestors. In September 2020, Automobili Lamborghini hit the bullseye of 10,000 Aventadors sold, when the total number of all previous V12 models just barely passed the threshold of 7,000. Already before, in its fifth year of production, it had surpassed even the Murciélago.
This iconic model was co-star in several movies that went down in Italian and world cinema history, and in the collective imagination because it was the super car par excellence accompanying the most famous heroes in Hollywood films. Suffice it to say that it was idealized as the Batmobile since when, in 2012, an Aventador LP 700-4 with the license plate “Gotham - 649 8227” appeared in in “The Dark Knight Rises”.
Automobili Lamborghini implemented the Magneride adaptive suspension for the first time precisely on the Aventador. The behavior of all technological contents is managed by a driving selector that allows you to choose your favorite set-up from the STRADA, SPORT and CORSA modes. The EGO mode also lets you independently set the power train, steering and suspension.
The latest version of Aventador is the extraordinary synthesis between timeless design and advanced technologies. From the livery made by hand by Lamborghini craftsmen that celebrates the peak of Aventador production to the interior embellished by fine quality materials such as carbon fiber and Alcantara, not to mention the iconic V12 engine in its maximum expression of power with its 780 CV, every single content of the LP 780-4 Ultimae has a story to tell.
