The Super SUV Lamborghini Urus challenged the ice of Lake Baikal for the first time during the Days of Speed, to then set the 1000-meter record with a top speed of 298 km/h and an average speed from a standing start of 114 km/h.
Urus, driven by the Russian driver Andrey Leontyev, the 18-time record holder of Days of Speed, demonstrated exceptional performance and extraordinary handling despite the reduced traction due to the slippery conditions of the ice and the strong gusts of wind. With its 650 CV V8 twin-turbo engine boasting one of the highest specific power outputs of its class and the best weight to power ratio, Urus is one of the fastest Super SUVs in the world, able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, 0 to 200 km/h in 12.8 seconds and reaching a top speed of 305 km/h.
Konstantin Sychev, Head of Lamborghini Eastern Europe and CIS, commented, "Lamborghini always sets ambitious and audacious goals, thus reinforcing the unparalleled performance parameters of reference that we have set for our products and supporting the innovation and technical ability of our super sports cars. This extreme challenge has proven once again that Urus Super SUV offers the intrinsic performance expected of a Lamborghini in terms of acceleration and top speed, as well as handling, on any terrain, whether it is a highway, an off-road route or even ice.”
FIA (Federation Internationale de l’Automobile) and RAF (Russian Automobile Federation) will publish the official data of the event held March 10 to 13 and organized by the LAV racing company in April.
