Lamborghini Day Japan 2021 thrilled the Triangular Square, Shinjuku Sumitomo Building in Tokyo, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Countach. For this special event, 10 Countach models selected from the “Lamborghini Countach Contest Japan” where exhibited, while over 70 Lamborghinis and 20 Countachs paraded through Tokyo in a majestic atmosphere.
The contest was priorly held online from October 8, 2021 and the contestants ranged from Storico-Certified cars to Countach models, of which 10 of them were selected via online voting. Five hundred participants expressed their final vote at the venue and the car gaining the highest number of votes won the title of “Best of Countach”. In addition, a special jury prize, “Premio of Giuria”, was elected by Jun Nishikawa (automobile writer), Shiro Nakamura (automobile designer), and Shiro Horie (editor-in-chief of Octane Japan).
In the Parade Run held on November 5, Lamborghini superports car Aventador rolled into the Lamborghini Day 2021 to join the parade. Not only 20 Countachs were displayed in the streets of downtown Tokyo during the Countach Touring event, but also the hypercar developed by Lamborghini Squadra Corse, the Essenza SCV12, made its first appearance at the event in Japan. With its powerful V12 naturally aspirated engine, the Essenza SCV12 is a perfect fusion of new technical solutions delivering the ultimate driving experience.
For the event, an Ad Personam corner was set up to reproduce The Lounge Tokyo at the venue, allowing Lamborghini customers to decorate their cars according to their tastes. One can choose from an infinite number of combinations of colors and materials. The Ad Personam corner offers an infinite variety of combinations of colors and materials, including the possibility to choose the logo on the seat or a custom color. In talking about the special experience Lamborghini wants to deliver to its customers, a booth for Lamborghini Unica, the dedicated app for Lamborghini owners, was displayed at the event.
The Lamborghini Club Japan, an official club approved by the Lamborghini headquarters, also made its appearance in a dedicated booth. Club members are of course offered privileges, such as participating in various exclusive events and activities hosted by the club. Davide Sfrecola, Automobili Lamborghini Head of Japan, commented that they “would like to thank all our customers who gathered from all over Japan. We value the connection with everyone whose devotion remains with Countach and Lamborghini, and we will continue to create opportunities to meet online and offline in various ways and disseminate information on Lamborghini’s DNA.”
